I’m making a point of taking time to watch a movie with my wife this evening.  But time is extremely short on this announcement, so I didn’t want to wait until tomorrow to post it.

Are you in a mastermind group? 

I mean a real mastermind group where talented people help each other out.  Not a social club masquerading as a mastermind group that meets at a pub or a coffee house once a month to hang out, drink and gossip.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that.  But those groups typically don’t accomplish much in the way of expanding their businesses.

One of Napoleon Hill’s core principles of success in Think and Grow Rich is to form, or join, a mastermind alliance.

But finding or forming a mastermind group is easier said than done.

Frank Kern formed one for his Mass Control students.  Membership was strictly limited, and they each pay Frank $2700 a month to remain in the group.

Yanik Silver’s Millionaire Mastermind (if you even meet the income qualifications to get in) is $17,000 a year ($20k if you use the payment plan).

Russell Brunson has a Platinum Mastermind group.  I found an application online that didn’t reveal the cost.  I’m guessing it’s steep.

The bottom line is that if you don’t have the contacts to start your own quality mastermind group, you may very well have to apply, then pay to get into one.

Which brings me to my announcement.

Well-known internet marketer, Terry Telford, graced the Warrior Forum long enough to post an ad for his $497 retirement package.  He didn’t even put much effort into trying to disguise it as something other than spam.  Did he really think he could get away with it?  I reported the post as spam, then looked at his profile to see when the last time he posted was.  Six months ago.  Damn nice of him to show up after six months to try and sell the Warriors something without ponying up $20 to put it on the WSO or Classifieds Board.  I guess he thinks he’s special or something.

What also cracked me up was the one response to the post.  A long-time forum member, one who actually has a fair amount of clout in the forum, instead of reporting Telford’s post, replied in glorious ass-kissing fashion by offering to promote the $497 package.  Again, I wish I’d taken a screen shot.  It was truly pitiful.

So, how do you combat that stuff?

1. Report the offense ASAP, and get it removed.  Spammers typically don’t waste their time spamming forums that nuke their posts quickly.
2. Let other people know.  Especially when it’s someone who knows better. 
3. Don’t do business with the spammer.  I got an email from Telford this morning, and promptly unsubscribed from his list.

My goal is to generate $50,000 in sales by midnight December 31, 2009.  Bryan’s goal is to attain $50,000 before Christmas, but because part of his project includes distribution of the plans of the participants, I wanted the distribution of my own plan to contribute to my sales goal as it’s part of the same project.

Bryan is not using any of his existing customer lists to attain his goal, so I’m choosing to do the same.  Many newbie marketers don’t have lists of their own yet, so it only makes sense that a duplicatible system would include list building as part of the plan.  My plan is about using existing resources to generate quick income.  And by existing resources, I’m talking about resources that someone who is yet to be successful in generating any decent online income would have. 

I’m also going to assume that most people following this have a full-time job.  My main gig is as the marketing guy for Incansoft.  I won’t be shirking my duties there to work on this project, and I also won’t be including my income from Incansoft as part of this project.  This project is a part-time deal for me and can be duplicated in less than four hours a day.

Something very creepy is going on at BIG Mike’s place.  Maybe his Amstel binges have attracted a poltergeist, or something followed him home from Paranormal Activity.  Regardless of what caused it, a malevolent spirit is wreaking havoc on his computer and managed to add coupon codes to everything in the Incansoft catalog.  Every time Mike goes in to his html editor and tries to change the catalog back to the way it was, it immediately reverts to the way the mysterious entity left it.

Because it’s the peak season for banishing work, Mike’s efforts to bring in an exorcist or psychic that specializes in such things have failed.  He can’t even get one in on an emergency call.

The good news for you is that while Mike is crying in his Amstel over the trick, you get the treats.

This is some seriously funny shit!

Partly because affiliate marketing is one of the easiest ways for beginners to start making money on the internet. Everything is pretty much done for you already, and all that’s left is to drive traffic to your affiliate link for the chosen product.  Basically you just need to get some links out there and start making commissions from the heavy lifting already done by the product creator.

Anyone can join, the application process is simple, there are a wide variety of products to promote, the commissions are high, and the payment threshold is low.

The Clickbank Affiliate Program is one of the easiest and best paying places to earn good money as an affiliate. Especially for someone new to affiliate marketing.  Anyone can join the program, the application process is uncomplicated, commissions are as high as 75%, there are products in many niches to promote, and there is a low payment threshold.

Sounds pretty good, huh?  Well, here’s the bad news…

While there are plenty of great products in the Clickbank marketplace with great converting sales copy, there are also a lot of junk products with sloppy sales copy that doesn’t convert.  If you unwittingly decide to promote one of those crappy products, you very well could end up without any sales.  Or there’s the likelihood that the sales you happen to make could result in refund requests. Either way, you lose.

Figuring out which Clickbank products will result in the most sales and the biggest paychecks can be a long and torturous process of trail and error.

I cleaned my white board this morning only to discover I had written on it months ago with a sharpie.  I used some dry erase board cleaner and scrubbed the begeezus out of it, but couldn’t get the permanent ink off.

I searched Google and quickly found the solution.

Use a dry erase marker to write over the permanent marker.  After the permanent ink is covered, use some spray on dry erase board cleaner, and both the dry erase marker and permanent marker will disappear.
